Work Light

Having trialled a range of work lights, we chose this incredibly robust aluminium unit due to its power and compact size. 

Using a COB LED array, the torch provides 3 functions:

• High white - 400 lumens, 3 hour runtime, 29 meter beam.
• Low white - 160 lumens, 10 hour runtime, 17 meter beam.
• Red flash - 160 lumens, 40 hour runtime.

Power Cut Prepper Evaluation

Using a light meter placed 28cm away, the unit set at full power was evaluated in our workshop to establish the brightness of the light emitted over time using GP Ultra batteries. The graph below shows for each hour passed, the percentage brightness compared to when it was first turned on. The test demonstrated that the unit is ideally placed to provide higher levels of illumination for up to an hour, after which time the output drops. From 3 to 12 hours the unit continued to emit a lower level of illumination, which was still enough to light a small room.

The picture below shows the unit set at full power lighting a standard room, from a distance of 3.5m from the fireplace.
