High performance GP Ultra alkaline batteries are ideal for powering torches and other devices during a power cut. Available in AA and AAA sizes, with packs of 24 or 40.

Carefully consider the maximum time that each device you require in a power will run on a new set of batteries. We've verified this for all of our battery powered lights and it's clearly stated in their description. Ensure that you keep sufficient spare stocks of batteries to last the likely duration of a power cut. 

Whilst the batteries have a self-life of up to 10 years, you may want to consider using one pack for general household use, so that you have a rolling replacement programme.
